Solitaire Board made from solid sycamore and measuring approximately 28 x 2.5 cm
The Solitaire Board is hand turned for me by a World renown wood turner from the West Country.. Each board will have a design burnt ( pyrography) into the top surface by myself
The board comes complete with glass marbles also a velvet like pouch. Marbles can then be stored safely when not in use. The colour of the glass marbles will enhance the design,.
The Solitaire Board will be sealed and waxed polished and the base will be covered in a baize to protect tables etc
This is a classic board game and is said to originate from late 17th Century although it could go back even further.
The object of the game is to jump one marble at a time to be left with a single marble in the centre hole. The groove around the board is ideal for placing played marbles. Sounds easy but it soon becomes evident that it’s not that simple!
This is a brilliant game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Although a game for one player, multiple players can also play and it is a great game of strategy and thinking ahead
